MARSHMALLOW ROOT
Marshmallow has long been used in the lozenges for sorethroat. Marshmallow root can be taken orally to reduce pain, inflammation and congestion. The antitussive properties of marshmallow root decrease irritation of the throat, reduce swelling in the lymh nodes while speeding up healing process.

Marshmaloow root can be ingested in the powder form with water or you can make marshmallow root tea by soaking 4 tbsp of marshmallow root in warm water for a couple of hours.
LICORICE ROOT
Licorice root cures sore throat by providing a thick viscous covering to the insides of your throat. Brew few pieces of licorice root in boiling water for a couple of minutes . Drink the concoction while its warm.

SALT WATER
Salt water can effectively soothe sore throat while breaking down secretions. Dissolve half a tablespoon of salt in a glass of warm water. Gargle the solution to reduce swelling and clean the throat. Repeat the procedure every few hours to reach the desired result.
HONEY
Due to its antibacterial and anti inflammatory properties, Honey is the go to of many people around the world. Honey has been found more effective than common cough suppressants. You can enhance its efficiency by mixing it with a cup of green tea.
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
The acidic of apple cider vinegar helps breakdown mucus in sore throat and stops bacteria from spreading.
Dissolve two tbsps of ACV in water and gargle with it every few hours. make sure to drink lots of water between gargling sessions.
PEPPERMINT
Peppermint provides relief in sore throat because of its analgesic properties. Peppermint is also antibacterial and fights bacteria causing cough or cold.
Take 4 pieces of cloves, crushing them to release essential oils. 8 pieces of shredded ginger and half a bunch of peppermint. Bring these to boil for 10 minutes. Add honey and juice from half a lemon to taste.
